SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Ciudad Museo’s Scholarship Program is designed to support young artists and creatives in their professional and academic development. Through this program, Ciudad Museo provides financial assistance and resources to students and emerging artists who demonstrate a significant commitment to the arts and culture. The scholarships aim to facilitate access to advanced training, art materials, and exposure opportunities, thereby contributing to the personal and professional growth of the recipients. Additionally, the program promotes inclusion and diversity by supporting talent from various backgrounds and disciplines. Ciudad Museo takes pride in investing in the future of the arts and strengthening the creative community in Puerto Rico.

LYDIA ABREU STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

 

The Lydia Abreu Student Scholarship, established in 2022, is intended for university students studying visual arts who reside in the western region of Puerto Rico. This scholarship honors the legacy of Lydia Abreu París, a pioneering educator at Ciudad Museo since its beginnings in 2015. With an outstanding career teaching the arts in both Puerto Rico and the United States, Lydia Abreu has been instrumental in shaping the purpose of this scholarship: supporting students who will contribute to the arts and to social change in our country.

This fund was created to support the academic, artistic, and personal development of its recipients and is focused on students from the municipalities of Añasco, Aguada, Aguadilla, Cabo Rojo, Guánica, Hormigueros, Isabela, Lajas, Las Marías, Maricao, Mayagüez, Moca, Rincón, Sabana Grande, and San Germán. The scholarship application period opens each year from early September through early December.
